This client enquired though our link on our website homepage asking for some advise to solve their decking woes. The deck at the rear of their property was, quite simply, buggered. They were falling through the old decking boards, which for a family which loves the outdoor space for entertaining wouldn’t do!
Coldicutt Blackman visited site and advised the next steps in the process - A new deck.
This job was undertaken with the hope the existing framing would be somewhat salvageable, although Coldicutt Blackman explained to the clients that it was unlikely due to the condition. With this in might, they priced the job as a full replacement from the outset so the client understood the full costs involved prior to any “gremlins” being discovered.
After the initial demo of the exisiting deck, it was discovered that some of the framing supporting the sliding door was in need of replacement. This freaked the clients out initially, however it only cost an extra few hundred dollars to repair - money well spent to maintain the clients home and ensure it’ll last for years to come!
